Sunday Loop #010 — Some Links Worth Your Time

Sunday Loop Links Weekly
Sunday Loop — weekly reading list by Palmetshofer Audio

Why Sunday Loop exists

The week moves fast. Between work, sessions, and everything else, the good reads get lost in the noise.

Every Sunday evening I share links — things I found worth reading during the week. Logic Pro, sound design, sampling, the occasional curveball. No algorithms, no filler. Just five things I’d genuinely recommend to a friend.

Grab a coffee. It won’t take long.

This Week

1. iZotope leaves the Native Instruments family after being acquired by Boris FX

Category: Workflow

Boris FX has acquired iZotope from inMusic, just months after inMusic’s May 2026 purchase of Native Instruments and its associated brands. iZotope will run as its own unit inside Boris FX, with teams and existing licenses/subscriptions unchanged — the only immediate difference being that iZotope products are no longer sold via Plugin Alliance.

2. Latest Trends in Global Music Production: The 2026 Producer’s Guide

Category: Workflow

The 2026 guide covers eight key trends: AI now handles technical grunt work (cleanup, stem separation, mixing assists) while producers keep creative control; amp modelers have officially outsold tube amps for the first time; and spatial audio/Dolby Atmos is going mainstream. It also flags remote collaboration, analog-digital hybrid workflows, better virtual drums, the growing bedroom-producer market, and DAWs racing to add AI features.

3. New in Logic Pro for Mac 12.3

Category: Logic Pro

OLogic Pro 12.3 brings expanded Beat Breaker (filter/resonance modes, panning, randomization), granular sync mode and formant shifting in Alchemy, plus a new sound pack. It also delivers major stability fixes (crashes in Smart Tempo, Step Sequencer, Harmony track, Alchemy) and dozens of smaller fixes across automation, Flex, MIDI, Mixer, and Spatial Audio/Dolby Atmos export.
